Model VT-1 Transducer

The photo to the right shows the new transducer used in the Model VT-1 phased-array sodar. The new transducer introduced during the fall of 2013 has improved performance, higher quality and more durability compared to the original transducer. The transducer is a piezo device that functions both as a speaker and a microphone. The nominal operating frequency is 4600 Hz.
